Long-Term Benefits to the Community
La Cuna foster parents are making a difference in our community. Children who are
raised in healthy, loving, supportive homes are less likely to experience an array
of issues, including:
- Mental/physical health issues
- Juvenile crime / Incarceration
- Truancy / dropping out of High School
- Drug and alcohol abuse and subsequent addiction
- Homelessness and the many ancillary casualties of that experience (mental and physical
abuse, prostitution, survival sex, suicide)
